Robert Franklin Loper, age 90, died at his home on Thursday, June 25, 2020 in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on May 22, 1930 in Norton, Kansas, the son of Ellis Paul Loper, Sr. and Mamie Evelyn Smith Loper.
He worked as a farmer, para professional, and was an ordained minister. Robert was a member of the Turning Point Church of the Nazarene.
He served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army.
On January 5, 1951 he married to Marion Joyce Sooby. She preceded him in death in 2006. On July 14, 2007 he was married to Phyllis Vanmeter. She preceded him in death in 2019.

Two Siblings Ellis Loper, Sr. of Springfield, Illinois
Patricia Chandler of Muldrow, Oklahoma
14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in by his parents, spouses, five brothers, James, Marvin, Ronald, Freddy Boy, Danny, one sister, Joan, and five grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2020 at the Turning Point Church of the Nazarene in Garden City, Kansas at 2:00 pm.
There will be no calling hours.
Private family interment will be held at a later date.
