Robert John

Robert Leon John, age 86, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Greeley County Hospital in Tribune, Kansas. Bob was born March 14, 1925 in Hermann, Missouri, the son of Harold & Grethel Wright John. He had been a Tribune resident since 1947 moving from Webb City, Missouri and served as grain buyer/seller for many years at Gano Horace Grain and Farmco, Inc. elevators in the Tribune area. Upon retirement in 1990, Bob an his wife moved to Bushton, Kansas and then returned to Tribune in 2006. Bob was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Tribune, Kansas as well as Rotary International and the Experimental Aircraft Association. On November 3, 1946 he married Erma Maxine Patterson at the Westside Methodist Church in Webb City, Missouri. Robert's surviving family includes- His wife- Erma M. John- Tribune, Kansas Two children and their spouses- Janice & Randy Fahrenholtz- Tribune, Kansas Robert & Margie John- Bushton, Kansas Six grandchildren- Cameron & David Jeter- Houston, Texas Ashley & Trevor Angell- Andover, Kansas Samuel & Monica Fahrenholtz- Houston, Texas Jessica & Jesse Sullivan- Hutchinson, Kansas Matthew John- Colorado Springs, Colorado Jennifer & Liam Stringham- Hays, Kansas Two Great Grandchildren- Deacon Angell- Andover, Kansas Jonathan Stringham- Hays, Kansas His parents preceded him in death. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. (M.S.T.) Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at the First Presbyterian Church in Tribune, Kansas with the Reverend Charles Ayers officiating. Burial will be in Greeley County Cemetery in Tribune, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the First Presbyterian Church or the Greeley County Recycling Center through Growing The Vision Foundation in Tribune, Kansas in care of the funeral home. Friends may call from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Tribune, Kansas.
