Robert Ekart

Robert Lee Ekart, age 75, died Monday, June 5, 2006, at his home in Garden City, Kansas. He was born January 22, 1931 @ Garden City, Kansas the son of Tony & Goldie Rose Ekart. A lifetime Garden City resident , he was a self employed carpenter & tile layer. He was a past member of the Moose Lodge, Eagles Lodge & Bass Club and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. On August 18, 1951 he married Shirley Ann Colburn at Garden City, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include: 3 Daughters - Vicki Wallace and Kimi Goetting of Garden City and Tammy Tichenor of Topeka, Kansas, 1 Brother - Leonard Ekart of Arkansas and 2 Sisters - Louise Bedker & Wanda Billinger, both of Garden City. 9 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral Service will be at 10:30am, Friday, June 9, 2006 at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, with Reverend Robert Nuckolls officiating. Interment will be in Valley View Cemetery. Public Visitation will be 10am-5pm, Wednesday and Thursday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City. Memorials may be given to the Robert L. Ekart Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home.
