Robert Buerkle, age 94, died at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas on October 12, 2020. He was born on May 16, 1926 in Garden City, Kansas, the son of Andrew and Beulah Armentrout Buerkle.
Robert was a farmer and an active member of the Church of the Brethren of Friend, Kansas. He was also a 33rd degree Mason, Shriner, Scout Master, Finney County Commissioner, and a past member of the Finney County Historical Society.
On August 12, 1945 he married Donita Hagler at the Deerfield United Methodist Church. She survives.

14 great grandchildren, 16 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sons, Alan Buerkle and Gary Lee Buerkle;
one brother, Dean Buerkle.
There will be no public calling hours.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Friend, Kansas.
