Rob Schreiber

Garden City, Kansas Rob W. Schreiber, age 57, died Monday, December 26, 2011 at his home in Garden City, Kansas following a year long battle with cancer. He was born May 18, 1954 in Ransom, Kansas the son of Clarence and Elizabeth Bowie Schreiber. A resident of Garden City since 1974 he was an ASE Master Mechanic and was the owner and operator of Schreiber Service until 2004. He then taught at Garden City Community College until 2010 and most recently had worked in the Parts Department at Burtis Motors. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Garden City, Kansas. On December 9, 1978 he married Denise Y. Olomon in Garden City, Kansas. She survives. Other Survivors Include: One Son, Scott W. Schreiber of Olathe, Kansas; Two Brothers, Clark Schreiber of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado and Jim Schreiber of Hays, Kansas; Two Sisters, Mary Porterfield of Goodland, Kansas and Betsy Spiegelman of Papillion, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church in Garden City, Kansas with Rev. David Bell presiding. Friends may call from 10:00am-8:00pm on Wednesday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas. Interment will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday at the Ransom Cemetery in Ransom, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Lee Richardson Zoo, the Finney County Humane Society or to the St. Catherine Hospital Development Foundation all in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
