Richard Gilbert Kysar, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at the Greeley County Hospital in Tribune, Kansas. He was born to Ernest Everett and Lillian Viola Hartzler Kysar on October 28, 1938, in Greeley County Kansas. As a lifelong member of the community he worked as a farmer, the school board president, and a prolific musician having earned a Masters in Music. 

On July 28, 1958, he married Burnice A. Jordan in Cottage Grove, Oregon in an outdoor ceremony. She survives.

Survivors include his wife, his daughter Pamela Sue & Keith Foster of Holcomb, Kansas, and his son Derrick Kysar of Tribune, Kansas. 

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial service will be held as a come-and-go open house at the United Methodist Church in Tribune, Kansas on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 1:00 to 4:00. 

There will be no visitation times.
