Richard Holland

Leoti, Kansas Richard M. "Dick" Holland, age 90, died Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at his home in Wichita County, Kansas. He was born June 4, 1920 in Hutchinson, Kansas, the son of Daniel W. and Monica C. Murry Holland. A resident of Wichita County since the late 1940's, Dick was a farmer and cattleman. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Marienthal, Kansas. He was married to Nellie "Toby" Winfrey. She died May 15, 2006 in Garden City, Kansas. Survivors Include: One Brother, John Holland of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; One Sister, Monica Dick of Hutchinson, Kansas; Two Sisters-In-Law, Ruby Bell Gleason of Perry, Oklahoma and Ruth Holland of Garden City, Kansas; A Cousin, Lorain Ford of Santa Maria, California. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Marienthal, Kansas with the Father Benjamin Martin presiding. There will be no public calling times. Inurnment will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday on the family farm in Wichita County, Kansas. The family requests memorials be given to the St. Mary Catholic Church of Marienthal, Kansas in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Leoti, Kansas.
