Raymond Dale Winter, age 95, died Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on May 23, 1919 in Scott City, Kansas the son of Harmon Duncan & Katherine J. Arnold Winter. A Garden City resident since the mid 1970's, Mr. Winter had been the owner & operator of Winter's Cleaners in Scott City for many years.
He was a member of the VFW, Finney County Senior Center and past member of the Eagles Lodge of Garden City, Kansas. He was US Army Veteran of WWII.
He married Donna Teeters, and later married Peggy Hartley Ferris on October 20, 1979, at Garden City, Kansas. She survives.

Two Daughters, Peggy Elaine Unger of Scott City, Kansas,
Denise Eileen (& Rick) Breitenbach of Broomfield, Colorado,
and Marlene Annette Winter of Wichita, Kansas;
Two Step-Sons, Ron (& Nancy) Ferris of Hutchinson, Kansas and
Alan (& Sandy) Ferris of Ephrata, Washington;
One Step-Daughter, Linda Setter of Tennessee;
Eleven Grandchildren and Ten Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Two Brothers, Homer & Harold Winter; and Three Sisters,
Karoline Sweeney, Dorothy Brattin & Virginia Vogt.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas, with Military Honors.
There will not be a public visitation.
Memorials may be given to the Raymond Winter Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
