Raymond K. Marmon, age 88, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2007 at the Western Plains Medical Center in Dodge City, Kansas. He was born on January 13, 1919 in Garden City, Kansas, the son of Roscoe Raymond and Mildred Kelson Marmon. On June 22, 1941 he married Ona Mae Rose in Garden City, Kansas. She survives.
After serving in the Army during World War II, Raymond attended Kansas State University, graduating in 1948. He began his career teaching Vocational Agriculture at Ford High School. In 1958 he moved his family to a farm in Scott County, Kansas and taught at Beaver Flats School until 1963. From 1963 to 1965 he served as Scott County Schools Superintendent. He taught at Shallow Water School until his retirement in 1984.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Scott City, and involved in 4-H leadership, Methodist Men's Group, KNEA, Lions Club, Co-op Coffee Club, and was a Camp Lakeside Trustee.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother Fayette, Daughter Leta R. Flores, and Grandchildren Troy Thomas and Corrina Rodgers.
