Ramona Lee Kessler, age 78, died Friday, July 23, 2010 at her home in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on October 5, 1931 in Garden City, Kansas, the daughter of George L. and Fernie L. Sparks Webster. She was the airport restaurant manager for 17 years, sold real estate in Garden City and then worked as a substitute teacher for USD 457 before retiring in 1998.
Ramona was a member of the First Christian Church, the Elks Lodge and she served on the citizens police board all in Garden City, KS. She was also a life member of the Dodge City Soroptimist Club.
On July 11, 1951, she married Albert Kessler @ Garden City, Kansas. He survives.
Other Survivors Include: One Daughter, Lori (& George) Ohmes of Pierceville, Kansas and Two Grandsons, Arlin (& Cheryl) Ohmes of Arlington Heights, Illinois and Jeff (& Linde) Ohmes of Derby, Kansas; Five Great-Grandchildren: Elizabeth Ohmes of Derby, Kansas, Cassandra Ohmes of Derby, Kansas, Ian Ohmes of Arlington Heights, Illinois, Keiran Ohmes of Arlington Heights, Illinois and Aiden Ohmes of Arlington Heights, Illinois;
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Roma Loy Cooper Ridgeway.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
Friends may call from 10:00am-8:00pm Tuesday @ the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be given to the Elks Lodge in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
