Phyllis Ann Long

Phyllis Ann Long, age 71, passed away on January 28, 2015 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on May 29, 1943 in Garden City, Kansas, the daughter of Gene and Madelene Gish Holloway. A resident of the Scott City community since moving from Hays, Kansas in 1967, she was a secretary for Blick’s Inc. for 25 years and then retired from working at Suzy B’s Flowers and Gifts in January of 2015. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas. On November 27, 1968 she married Greg Long in Scott City, Kansas. He survives. Other Survivors include: Two Sons, Robert and Karen Long of Pratt, Kansas; Thomas and Melissa Long of Wichita, Kansas; One Brother, Kirk and Desiree Holloway of Wichita, Kansas, Two Sisters, Kyle and Chris Carroll of Scott City, Kansas, Tracey and Terry Richmeier of Scott City, Kansas, Two Sister-in-Laws Linda Robertson of Montezuma, Kansas, Marsha Holloway of Scott City, Kansas, Five Grandchildren, Two Great-GrandChildren, and Numerous Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers Ronald Holloway, and Kim Holloway. Funeral Services will be held at the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 2, 2015 With the Rev. Warren Prochnow officiating. Memorials may be made to the Scott County EMT’s or American Cancer Society % Price & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in the Scott City, Kansas. Visitation hours will be11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
