Phyllis Holland

Phyllis M. Holland, age 91, died Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on November 19, 1920 in Cherokee, Iowa, the daughter of Ray & Winifred Conley Hamilton. A resident of Garden City, Kansas since 1969 she had worked in public relations with various media groups. On May 20, 1961 she married Orlin G. Holland in Denison, Iowa. He died May 25, 2011 in Garden City, Kansas. Survivors Include: One Son, Jeff (& Pam) Holland of Mansfield, Texas; One Sister, Marilyn Van Horn of Palo Alto, California; Two Grandsons Jeffrey Holland Jr. of Mansfield, Texas Jason Holland of Mansfield, Texas She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and four sisters, Shirley Hamilton, Charlene Keenan, Audrey Hamilton and Elaine Hamilton. Memorial Services will be held at 5:00pm on Friday, December 23, 2011 at Elks Lodge in Garden City, Kansas. There will be no calling times. Interment will be held in the Hartley Cemetery in Hartley, Iowa at a later date. The family requests that memorials be given to the Phyllis M. Holland Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
