Phyllis Grayce Beach, age 89, died Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born August 31, 1923 in Nelson, Nebraska, the daughter of Kile and Lena Statz Conner. A resident of Pierceville, she had been a farmer and rancher.
She was a member of the Pierceville Federated Church in Pierceville, Kansas. She was also past president of the CowBelles, and a sewing leader for the Go-Getters 4-H Club, both of Pierceville.
On August 12, 1944, she married Gerald E. Beach in Kansas City. He passed away on March 29, 1966 in Garden City, Kansas.

One Daughter, Sue (& Jim) Latham of Arlington, Texas;
One Daughter-in-Law, Roxanne Beach of Sublette, Kansas;
One Sister, Ramona Wulf of Guide Rock, Nebraska,
One Grandson, Garet (& Jennifer) Beach of Pierceville, Kansas;
Four Granddaughters, Gera (& Robert) Steele of Manhattan, Kansas,
Minde (& Travis) Wheeler of Charleston, South Carolina,
Kendra (& Jason) Hopkins of Atlanta, Georgia, and
Brecke Latham of Washington, D.C.;
Six Great-Grandchildren, Hope & Britlyn Beach of Pierceville, Kansas,
Beach Gary Dale Steele of Manhattan, Kansas,
Caroline & Mackenzie Wheeler of Charleston, South Carolina,
and soon to be baby Hopkins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a son, Gary Beach, a brother, Bud Conner, and two sisters, Reta Auble & Vivian Taylor.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Pierceville Federated Church in Pierceville, Kansas.
Friends may call from 10:00am-8:00pm on Friday @ the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.
