Philip Johnstone

Liberal, Kansas Philip L. Johnstone, age 52, died Sunday, July 30, 2006 at his home in Liberal, Kansas. He was born on January 16, 1954 in Seneca, Kansas the son of Harry H. "Jack" and Frances Tomlinson Johnstone. A resident of Liberal since 2004 moving from Garden City he was a Supervisor for the State of Kansas Social & Rehabilitation Services. On May 24, 1980 he married Donna L. Woods at Washington, Kansas. Survivors Include: Two Daughters; Jamie Sturdevant of Olathe, Kansas and Jessica Johnstone of Wichita, Kansas . His Mother; Frances Johnstone of Centralia, Kansas and One Sister; Jacquelyn Lierz of Houston, Texas He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, August 3, 2006 at the Garden City Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Charles West presiding. Friends may call from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm on Thursday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City. Additional Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, August 5, 2006 @ the Hays-Popkess Funeral Home in Centralia, Kansas. Burial will be in the Centralia Cemetery in Centralia, Kansas. The family requests memorials be given to the Philip L. Johnstone Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
