Patricia Palen

Patricia A. Palen, age 82, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on July 11, 1931 in Leoti, Kansas, the daughter of Arthur L. and Genevieve E. Manning Gribben. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1953 moving from Leoti, Kansas, she was a Nurse. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas. Pat was also a member of the Alter Society and the Pence Pitch Club both of Scott City, Kansas. On July 28, 1953 she married Wilfred E. "Bud" Palen in Marienthal, Kansas. He passed away on December 15, 1993 in Goodland, Kansas. Survivors Include her Two Sons - Tom & Carole Palen of Scottsdale, Arizona, Mike & Lynne Palen of Scott City, Kansas, Three Daughters - Jeanne & Dennis Corrigan of Foothill Ranch, California, Judy Gray of Katy, Texas, Julie Palen of Weston, Massachusetts, One Sister - Bonnie & Floyd Greenwood of Overbrook, Kansas and Nine Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, and One Brother - Artie Gribben. Vigil Service will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas at 6:00 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2014. Funeral Services will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014 with Fr. Bernard Felix presiding. Memorials In Lieu of Flowers may be given to the Park Lane Nursing Home or St. Joseph Catholic Church % Price & Sons Funeral Homes. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Friday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
