She was born August 17, 1946 at Anoka, Minnesota, the daughter of Gordon L. and Barbara L. Schonard Smith. A resident of Lakin since 1984 moving from Medicine Lodge, KS she was a Medical Technologist for St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.
