Pamela Diane Smith, age 62, died Friday, January 29, 2010 at her home in Garden City, Kansas. She was born March 8, 1947 in St. Joseph, Missouri the daughter of Ivan and Mary Jo Linscott Baumann. Pam graduated from Effingham High School in 1965. She was an interior decorator and had been a resident of Garden City since 1973 moving from Belleville, Kansas.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Chapter FF PEO and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority all of Garden City, Kansas. She also belonged to the Kansas Veterinary Medical Association Auxiliary and the American Veterinary Medical Association Auxiliary.
On June 4, 1966 she married John C. Smith in Cummings, Kansas. He survives. Other Survivors Include: Two Sons, Scott Smith of Sebastian, Florida and Trent Smith of Holcomb, Kansas; Two Brothers, Lynn Baumann of Arrington, Kansas and Ray Baumann of Omaha, Nebraska; Two Sisters, Charlotte Milligan of Leavenworth, Kansas and Ginger Meyer of Concordia, Missouri and Six Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church in Garden City, Kansas with the Rev. David Bell presiding.
Interment will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, February 4, 2010 in the Larkinburg Cemetery in Larkinburg, Kansas with Rev. Mark Armstrong presiding.
Per Pam's wishes, the casket will be closed and there will be no public calling times.
The family requests memorials be given to the First United Methodist Church in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home.
