Orvillene E. Williams, age 96, died Friday, December 12, 2014 at the Homestead Assisted Living Center in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on April 9, 1918 in Pratt, Kansas the daughter of Pete and Nelle Hughes Smith. A lifetime resident of Garden City, Orvillene worked as a beautician and as a clerk.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, the Order of the Eastern Star and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority all of Garden City, Kansas.
On September 4, 1938 she married Charles H. “Tod” Williams in Garden City, Kansas. He died September 27, 1991 in Garden City, Kansas.
Survivors Include: Two Sons, Chuck Williams of Garden City, Kansas and Phil Williams of Stephenville, Texas; One Daughter, Patti (& Jim) Allen of Garden City, Kansas; Four Grandchildren and Seven Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson and a sister.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on Friday, December 19, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church in Garden City, Kansas.
Friends may call from 10:00am-8:00pm on Thursday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
Interment will be held in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church or to Southwest Kansas Live On Stage in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
