Orville H. Pammenter, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at his home in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on January 22, 1916 in Cheney, Kansas, the son of Henry and Elizabeth Arther Pammenter. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1946 moving from Cheney, Kansas, he was a farmer.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas.
On April 9, 1937 he married Lucena Marie Branine in Cheney, Kansas. She passed away on July 29, 1995 in Scott City, Kansas.
Survivors include One Son - Lynn & Sue Pammenter of Scott City, Kansas, a Daughter In Law - Janice Pammenter of Branson, Missouri, Four Granddaughters - Stacy Feeney of Vancouver, Washington, Denise Pammenter of Phoenix, Arizona, Julie Jahay of Hazelton, Kansas, Becky Wilkinson of Wichita, Kansas, Two Grandsons - Kip Pammenter of Kansas City, Kansas, Taff Pammenter of Garden City, Kansas and Ten Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three sons: Steve, Lynnay and a baby boy, and three sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2009 with the Rev. Dennis Carter presiding.
Memorials may be given tot he United Methodist Church in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home.
Interment: will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday.
