Orland Eul Burnett, age 77, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. He was born February 10, 1933 in Springer, New Mexico, the son of Chester Marvin and Ruth Ann Bosarge Burnett. A resident of Garden City since 1947 moving from Oklahoma, he was the owner and operator of Eul's Fencing and Cement.
He was a member of the Christian Faith and was a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Eul enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his grandchildren and family.
On January 2, 1953 he married Patsy Jean Farnsworth at Raton, New Mexico. She passed away on July 24, 2009 in Garden City, KS.
Survivors Include: Four Sons, Randy Burnett of Garden City, KS, Reg Burnett of Kansas City, KS, Ronnie Burnett of Garden City, KS and Russ Burnett of Garden City, KS; One Daughter, Rhonda Anderson of Garden City, Kansas; 5 Brothers, Avon Burnett of Frontenac, KS, Carl Burnett of Exeter, MO, Ted Burnett of Boiling Springs, SC, Marvin Burnett of Rocky Comfort, MO, and Bill Burnett of Goshen, IN; 3 Sisters, Jean Scott of Rocky Comfort, MO, Helen Naab of Garden City, KS, and Patricia Anderson of Blue Springs, MO; Six Grandchildren, Three Great-Grandchildren & and One Great-Great-Grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, June Rose Burnett.
Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on, Monday, April 5, 2010 at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas with Pastor Von Hunn presiding.
There will be no public visitation at the funeral home.
The family requests memorials be given to the Eul Burnett Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
