Norman P. Guinard

Norman P. Guinard, age 78, died on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita, Kansas.  He was born on June 2, 1942 in Petterborough, New Hampshire, the son of George and Clara Mills Guinard.

Norman worked as a letter carrier for the USPS in Garden City from 1978-2000 and as a detective for the Garden City Police department from 1969-1978.  He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus both of Garden City.

He was married on September 11, 1965 to Judith M. Hoff in Salina, Kansas.  She preceded him in death on July 6, 2013.

He is survived by

Two Children Holly Guinard of Wichita, Kansas

Chris and wife Esther Guinard of Garden City, Kansas

Two Grandchildren Franklin Guinard of Garden City, Kansas

Aemila Guinard of Garden City, Kansas

Two Siblings Roger and wife Ellen Guinard of Rindge, New Hampshire

Jean and Husband Gary Brown of Jaffrey, New Hampshire

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and two brothers, Tom & Phillip.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City at 1:00 P.M.

There will be no calling times.

Interment will be at a later date at the Church of St. Martin Cemetery in Seguin, Kansas at a later date.
