Norma Dee Hoeme, age 76, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2009 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on June 1, 1932 in Scott City, Kansas, the daughter of Claude and Thelma Helfrick Hughes. A lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas, she was a homemaker.
After graduating from Stephens College, she taught kindergarten in Scott City for several years. Dee was an avid Bridge & Golf player, but one of her favorite things was attending any event that her grandchildren were involved in.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Scott City, Kansas and several bridge clubs in Scott City.
On July 23, 1955 she married Albert Oswald Hoeme in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He passed away on July 18, 1989 in Scott City, Kansas.
Survivors include Two Sons - Stacy & Kyle Hoeme of Scott City, Kansas, Kelly & Mitzi Hoeme of Scott City, Kansas, One Daughter - Tonni & Skip Numrich of Scott City, Kansas, One Brother - Robert & Cheryl Hughes of Scott City, Kansas, Two Sisters - Donis & Lewis Mitchell of Scott City, Kansas, Connie & Charles Posl of Liberal, Kansas, Ten Grandchildren, and One Great Grand.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, and Two Brothers â Harold Hughes & Calvin Hughes.
Funeral Services will be held at the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2009 with the Rev. Dennis Carter presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the United Methodist Church or the Dee Hoeme Scholarship Fund % Price & Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, and 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
