Nancy Jo Nance, age 69, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born February 10, 1942 in Thayer, Kansas, the daughter of Daniel W. and Lucille Haas Nance. A resident of Garden City since 1967 she had been a truck driver for the Finney County Road Department.
She was a member of the Pierceville Federated Church in Pierceville, Kansas and was a former Cub Scout Leader.
In the early 1960's she married Wayland L. Farris @ Muleshoe, Texas.
Survivors Include: Two Sons, David L. Farris of Garden City, Kansas and Lonnie Farris of Garden City, Kansas; Two Daughters, Brenda Jo Mayes of Turpin, Oklahoma and Jullie L. Dale of Garden City, Kansas; Two Brothers, Paul Nance of Iola, Kansas and Rev. Earl Nance of Trenton, Missouri; Eight Grandchildren and Fifteen Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by Three Brothers, James, Milo & Eldon Nance and her longtime companion, Herb McKenzie.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:30pm on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the Pierceville Federated Church with Rev. Terry Major presiding.
Friends may call from 1:00pm-8:00pm on Wednesday @ the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.
