Garden City, Kansas Milo Marion Joyce, Jr., age 83, died Thursday, October 30, 2008 at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City, KS. He was born on December 8, 1924 in Finney County, Kansas the son of Milo Marion & Rosa Belle Sager Joyce. A lifetime resident of Finney County, he was a retired farmer and stockman. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Garden City, Kansas, where he served as Elder, Deacon, Lay Minister & Sunday School Teacher. He was a past member of the Kansas Wheat Growers Association, Soil Conservation Board, FHA & FSA Boards, and former board member for the Garden Valley Retirement Village. On April 10, 1949, he married Marcelle Grace Hands at Garden City, Kansas. She survives. Other Survivors Include: One Son, Tim R. Joyce; One Daughter, Marilee M. Joyce; One Brother, Lloyd E. Joyce; Two Sisters, Marabelle M. Hoeme and Juanita M. Anstaett; One grandson, Kyle W. Joyce; and One granddaughter Kayla K. Joyce and One great-granddaughter, Ashlyn Griffin; all of Garden City, Kansas. He was preceded in death by a son, Milton Milo Joyce, a brother, Lawrence Joyce and his parents. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, November 3, 2008 at the First Christian Church in Garden City, Kansas with Chaplain David Pelto presiding. Friends may call from Noon-8:00pm on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008 at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas. Interment will be held in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas. The family requests memorials be given to the Milo Joyce, Jr. Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
