Mildred Alma Rumpf, age 99, passed away at the High Plains Retirement Village in Lakin, Kansas on Tuesday, July 24, 2012. She was born on December 4, 1912 in St. Joseph, Missouri, the daughter of Charles Christian and Bertha Katherine Hahn Gemmer. A resident of Garden City, Kansas since 1989 moving from Leavenworth, Kansas, she was a retired School Food Service Cook.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Garden City, Kansas.
On July 3, 1936 she married Fred J. Rumpf in St. Joseph Missouri. He passed away on October 1, 1988 in Leavenworth, Kansas.

Two Daughters Shirley Brunner of DeSoto, Kansas
Janet Major of Garden City, Kansas
Four Grandchildren
One Great Grandchild
She was preceded in death by her Parents, One Infant Sister and
One Brother - Herman Gemmer.
Funeral Services will be held at the Presbyterian Church in Garden City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2012 with Rev. Denise Pass presiding.
Graveside Services will be held at the Ashland Cemetery in St. Joseph, Missouri at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2012 with Rev. Karen Aitkens presiding.
Memorials may be given to the Presbyterian Church of Garden City, Kansas or the Bethel United Church of Christ of North Kansas City, MO in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas at 620 N. Main.
Visitation will be at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday.
