Melvin Mauseth

Melvin O. Mauseth, age 82, passed away at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas on Sunday, December 4, 2011. He was born on May 3, 1929, in Choteau, Montana, the son of Oliver & Emily Carlson Mauseth. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since June of 2002 moving from Goodland, Kansas, he was retired from the Rock Island Railroad. He was a Buck Sargent III in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was also a member of The VFW, Odd Fellows and Trainmans Union. On May 3, 1951 he married Doris Deane Harmon in Limon, Colorado. She passed away on March 8, 2001 in Goodland, Kansas. Survivors include his One Son - Gary L. Mauseth of Balibago, Angeles, Phillippines, Two Daughters - Linda L. Leija of Lakewood, Colorado, Janis L . Tucker of Scott City, Kansas, One Brother - Richard Mauseth of Great Falls, Montana, Six Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchild. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Four Brothers, and One Sister. Memorial Services will be at Price & Sons Funeral Home of Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2011 with the Rev. Dennis Carter presiding. Inurnment wil be in the Goodland Cemetery in Goodland, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project or Scott County Bread Basket % Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
