Garden City, Kansas Mary Edith Staab, age 50, died Thursday, September 27, 2007 at her home in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on November 11, 1956 in Holton, Kansas the daughter of Elmer and Rose Ann Martin Staab. A resident of Garden City since the 1982 moving from Valley Falls, Kansas, she was a Microbiologist and worked as a Lab Technician for Tyson Foods. She graduated Vakey Falls High School in 1975, attended Benedictine College in Atchison from 1974-1976 and later received her degree in Microbiology from Kansas State University. She attended the First Assembly Of God Church of Garden City. Survivors Include: One Son, Matthew S. Truong of the home; Mother, Rose Ann Staab of Lakin, Kansas; Uncle, Burley Martin of Kansas City, Kansas; Four Aunts, Daisy Kristofek of Bristol, Virginia, Eunice Martin of Shawnee, Kansas, Marilyn Martin of Lawrence, Kansas, Linda Martin of Leavenworth, Kansas; Two cousins, Eva Mae Bolz of Topeka, Kansas Leota Bolz of Valley Falls, Kansas And numerous other cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, three uncles, Gorby R. Martin, DDS, Robert C. Martin and Harry N. Martin and an aunt, Glenna M. Bolz. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 5, 2007at the Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls, Kansas. Friends may call from 10:00am-8:00pm on Tuesday, October 2nd at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas. Additional calling times will be held at the Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls, Kansas on Thursday, October 4tth. Interment will be held in the Valley Falls Cemetery in Valley Falls, Kansas. The family requests memorial be given to the Mary Staab Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City or Mercer Funeral Home of Valley Falls.
