Mary E. Plum, age 92, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on November 25, 1922 in Leaday, Texas, the daughter of William Thomas and Nora Belle Weddle Moore. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1955 moving from McLean, Texas, she was a retired head cook at USD 466 for over 20 years.
Her memberships include the First Baptist Church, Evening Circle of the First Baptist Church, Independent Living Morning Coffee Group.
On July 13, 1943 she married Thomas H. Plum in Sayre, Oklahoma. He passed away on September 16, 2010 in Scott City, Kansas.
Survivors Include One Son - Bob & Georgia Plum of Scott City, Kansas, Three Daughters - Teena & Bob Winter of Lawrence, Kansas, LaNora & Rick Dirks of Scott City, Kansas, Carmel & Brian Hogue of Woodard, Oklahoma, Two Brothers - Wayne & Beverly Moore of Forgan, Oklahoma, Harl & Mauree Moore of Pampa, Texas, Two Sisters - Mae Foster of Smithville, Texas, Harlene Smith of Elk City, Oklahoma, Eleven Grandchildren and Nineteen Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, One Great Granddaughter - Bobbi Beckman - and Three Brothers - Jairrel Moore, Chalmus Moore and James Moore.
Funeral Service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Scott City, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 11, 2015 with Pastor Jason Dirks presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church or Pence Community Church % Price & Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
