Mary M. Farmer, age 94, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2008 at the Edwards County Hospital in Kinsley, Kansas. She was born on March 28, 1914 in First View, Colorado, the daughter of Alexander and Marie Wittman Dinkel. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since the 1930's moving from St. Peter, Kansas, she was a homemaker. Memberships include the St. Joseph Catholic Church and Alter Society of Scott City, Kansas, and the Legion of Mary, and Daughters of Isabella. On November 22, 1937 she married Francis E. Farmer in Scott City, Kansas. He passed away on March 30, 1965 in Scott City, Kansas. Survivors Include: Two Daughters - Teresa Farmer of Great Bend, Kansas and Doris Farmer of Wichita, Kansas, One Grandson - Dodge Wendler of Shawnee Mission, Kansas, and One Great Granddaughter - Piper Wendler of Shawnee Mission, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, One Daughter â Phyllis Wendler, and 12 Brothers and Sisters. Vigil Service will be held at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008. Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2008 with Fr. Warren Stecklein presiding. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. Memorials may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Dominican Sisters in Great Bend, Kansas % Price & Sons Funeral Home. Visitation will be at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Thursday.
