Mary D. Bauck, age 99, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Wichita County Health Center Long Term Care in Leoti, Kansas. Mary was born July 16, 1915 near Libenthal, Kansas in rural Rush County, Kansas, the daughter of John A. & Amelia Herman Kreutzer. A resident of Wichita County since 1925, she received training as a registered nurse and served several western Kansas hospitals in the Hays, Scott City and Leoti areas. Mary was a homemaker and farm wife.
Mary was a dedicated member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Leoti, Kansas where she served as a Liturgist for nine years and as a Eucharistic Minister for twenty-four years. She also served on the Council of Catholic Women and was President of the Garden City Deanery for two years. Mary enjoyed playing cards and was a member of the ladies pitch club.
On August 25, 1948 she married Joseph J. Bauck, Sr. at Marienthal, Kansas. Joe passed away on July 17, 2006 at Leoti, Kansas.

Aaron Bauck- Denver, Colorado
One Great Grandson-
Chance Brack- Hugoton, Kansas
Three step great grandchildren
Her parents, Ten siblings including Bernard Kreutzer, Alf Kreutzer, Bill Kreutzer, Anna Herman, Loretta Kessler, Ida Biel, Bertha Werth, Anne Kreutzer, Tina Klaus and Ludwina Kreutzer, and a son in law, Larry Brack precede her in death.
Vigil services will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Leoti, Kansas.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Leoti, Kansas with Fathers Benjamin Martin and Terry Klein officiating.
Burial will be in St. Theresa Cemetery in northwestern Wichita County, Kansas.
Friends may call from noon until 8:00 pm Monday and from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm Wednesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the St. Anthony Building Fund or the Wichita County Health Center Long Term Care in care of the funeral home.
