Marvin Lee Wright, age 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 14, 2020, at his home in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on August 19, 1943, in Logan County, Kansas, the son of William Clifford and Margaret Idella Russell Wright. A lifetime resident of Scott County, Kansas, Marvin was a diesel mechanic at Long’s 96 Repair, feed yard maintenance worker at Fairleigh feed yard, and HRC Feed Yard. Marvin was a member of Turning Point Nazarene Church in Scott City, Kansas. On November 5, 1966, Marvin married Vicki Cheryl Finkenbinder at Pilgrim Holiness Church in Scott City, Kansas. Survivors include his wife, Vicki of Scott City, Kansas, sons Terry & Melissa Wright of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, and Jeff and Arnita Wright of Topeka, Kansas, one daughter, Kim and Don Dinkel of Ellis, Kansas, three sisters; Della Morgan of Healy, Kansas, Sue West of Scott City, Kansas, and Carolyn Hundertmark of Scott City, Kansas, and eight brothers; Dewey, Dan, Wilbur, Marion, Roy, Gary and Harold all of Scott City, Kansas and Galen Wright of Sublette, Kansas, and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by His parents, Clifford and Idella Wright, four brothers; Harlan, Cleve, Milton, and Elvin; One sister; Velda Spencer. Graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. In the Scott County Cemetery with Terry & Melissa Wright presiding. Burial will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. Memorials In Lieu Of Flowers may be written to Marvin L. Wright Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Homes. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
