Marlene Marie Riley, age 81, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Wichita County Health Center in Leoti, Kansas. Marlene was born on the Wilson family homestead north of Marienthal, Kansas on October 11, 1931, the second of ten children to Hallie Everett & Clara Belle (Smith) Wilson. She was a 1949 graduate of Wichita County High School. A resident of Leoti since 2012 moving from Wichita, Kansas, she was a homemaker and Fuller Brush salesperson. Marlene loved music and old barns and gardening. She love to sing and was able to play several instruments. She held third place in Kansas for largest deer harvested in 1974. Marlene was a member of the United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of NRA, a former Cub Scout den mother, Wichita Jeep 4X4 Club, the North American Hunting Club, the Kansas Knife Collectors Association, Harley Owners Group (HOG), and had recently received her CCL.
On October 12, 1949 she married Frank F. Riley at Scott City, Kansas. He passed away on September 6, 2010 at Wichita, Kansas.

Marilyn Maley- Phillipsburg, Kansas
Ten grandchildren, Nineteen great grandchildren and expecting two more this year, one great great grandchild. Her parents, husband, a brother, and one great grandchild precede her in death.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas with the Reverend Dennis Carter officiating. Burial will be in Scott County Cemetery.
Friends may call from noon until 8:00 pm Tuesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the Wichita County Amusement Association or Wichita County Historical Society in care of the funeral home.
