Mark S. Roberts, age 60, died Sunday, September 25, 2011 at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. He was born on October 4, 1950 in Dodge City, Kansas the son of Harold E. and Betty June Tucker Roberts. A former resident of Garden City, Mark was a Retired Chief Master Sergeant and Wideband Communications Specialist with the 134th Air Control Squadron, Kansas National Guard, McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas.
He was a member of the Christian Faith and was a USAF Veteran having served in Vietnam, Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
On August 22, 1970, he married Valetta J. Adams at Copeland, Kansas. She survives.
Other Survivors Include: One Son, Kevin J. (& Connie Mae) Roberts of Colbert, Oklahoma; His Father, Harold E. Roberts of Denison, Texas; One Sister, Robin Partin of Pueblo West, Colorado; One Grandson, Evan Eric Roberts of Colbert, Oklahoma; Two Nephews, Richard Gunderson of Glenwood, Iowa and Dustin Partin of Pueblo west, Colorado; One Niece, Stephanie Partin of Pueblo West, Colorado and One Aunt, Pauline Voran of Cimarron, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his mother, a Sister, Vicki Gunderson and a Nephew, Eric Gunderson.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
Friends may call from 3:00-8:00pm Wednesday @ the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
Interment will be held at 2:30pm in the Fort Dodge Veterans Cemetery in Fort Dodge, Kansas.
The family requests memorials be given to the Mark Roberts Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
