Marion Young

Marion Joe Young, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Morton County Care Center in Elkhart, Kansas. Mr. Young was born November 10, 1932 at Fellsburg, Kansas, the son of Marion Lyle & Ada Lavina Derley Young. A resident of Greeley County since 1946, he was a farmer. Mr. Young was a member of the United Methodist Church in Tribune, Kansas. On September 23, 1961 he married Sherry Schlotfeldt at Tribune, Kansas. He later married Carolyn Crouch on April 2, 1977 at Garden City, Kansas. Mr. Young's surviving family includes- One daughter- Carmelle Nemechek- Colorado Springs, Colorado Two grandchildren- Andrew Nemechek- " Cody Nemechek- " One brother and his wife- Neil & Judy Young- Tribune, Kansas His parents, and a sister, Wilma Prosser, precede him in death. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am (MDT) Monday, January 13, 2014 at the United Methodist Church in Tribune, Kansas with the Reverend Brad Kirk officiating. Inurnment will be in Greeley County Cemetery in Tribune, Kansas. There are no calling times and memorials are suggested to the Greeley County Health Center or the United Methodist Church in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home in Tribune, Kansas.
