Marilyn Imogene Hawk, age 90, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City, Kansas. She was born December 15, 1923 in Garden City, Kansas the daughter of Pat and Agnes Goddard Concannon. A lifetime resident of Garden City, Kansas, she was a homemaker.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, both of Garden City, KS.
On November 3, 1950, she married John H. Hawk in Tucumcari, New Mexico. He died on January 27, 2006 in Garden City, Kansas.
Survivors include:
Two Daughters, Judy (& A.J.) Gemes of Lee's Summit, Missouri and
Debra (& J.R.) Villarreal of Dallas, Texas;
Three Grandchildren, Jessica Villarreal of Savannah, Georgia,
Jeremy Villarreal of Dallas, Texas and
Tony (& Krystal) Hawk of Olathe, Kansas;
Two Great-Grandsons, Jonathan & Quinn Hawk of Olathe, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Patricia Crowe & June Mattern.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, March 15, 2014 @ the
Garden Valley Retirement Village Chapel in Garden City, Kansas.
Private family burial will be held in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.
There will be no calling times.
Memorials may be given to the church or Friends of Lee Richardson Zoo, both in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
