Marian Minor

Marian (Eileen) Minor, age 90, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on March 2, 1919 in Garden City, Kansas, the daughter of Homer and Frances Nora Reeves Gamble. A longtime resident of San Diego, California before moving to Scott City, Kansas in 2007. Eileen was an active member of PEO, Forest Home, MOAA Auxiliary, First Presbyterian Church in San Diego, and was active in Flagship Mariners. Survivors include her Daughter - Mary & Gerald Hermes of Scott City, Kansas, One Son - Gerald (Gary) Minor of Crystal River, Florida, Three Grandchildren - John Hermes of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Donald Hermes of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Tricia Hermes of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and 6 Great Grandchildren all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her Parents, and Husband - Captain Gerald E. Minor, USN, from Leoti, Kansas who passed away in 1993 in San Diego, California. They were able to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary in 1992. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 29, 2010 at the El Camino Memorial Park & Mortuary, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego, California, 92121. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas.
