Maria Lopez

Maria Alicia Lopez, age 66, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2012 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on September 27, 1945 in Encarnacion de Diaz Jalisco, Mexico, the daughter of Jose Diaz Romo & Benita Leos. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 2000 moving from Mexico, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Scott City, Kansas. On June 6, 1964 she married Cristobal Lopez in Encarnacion de Diaz Jalisco, Mexico. He survives. Survivors include her Husband - Cristobal Lopez of Scott City, Kansas, Three Daughters - Patricia Lopez of Mexico, Silvia Corral of Garden City, Kansas, Laura Ruiz of Scott City, Kansas, Eight Sons - Gustavo Lopez of Spearman, Texas, Cristobal Lopez of Scott City, Kansas, Javier Lopez of Garden City, Kansas, Alberto Lopez of Mexico, Gabriel Lopez of Scott City, Kansas, Mario Lopez of Denver, Colorado, Gerardo Lopez of Garden City, Kansas, Daniel Lopez of Garden City, Kansas, Two Sisters - Raquel Diaz of Mexico, Estela Diaz of Mexico, Twenty Two Grandchildren and One Great Grandchild. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Four Sisters and One Brother. Vigil Services will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2012. Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012 with Fr. Bernard Felix presiding. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. Memorials may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church or the Scott County Hospital in care of Price & Son Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
