Lula M. Dirks, age 75, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on January 8, 1939 in Emporia, Kansas, the daughter of Wilfred Alton and Lucille Thelma Arnall Coe. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1960 moving from Downey, California, she was a homemaker and a bus driver. Lou also enjoyed the farm life especially helping during harvest.
She was a member of the Protestant Faith.
On March 5, 1957 she married Howard D. Dirks in Scott City, Kansas. He passed away on June 21, 2007 in Scott City, Kansas.
Survivors Include her One Son - Darrel & Diane Dirks of Marienthal, Kansas, Two Daughters - Deborah & David Kraemer of Fowler, Kansas, Darla & Jerome Luebbers of Leoti, Kansas, Two Sisters - Wilfreda "Skeet" Flowers of Parker, Colorado, Glenna & Steve Cooley of Andersonville, Tenn., One Half Brother - Gerald A. Coe of Silt, Colorado, Ten Grandchildren and Four Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, and One Brother - Ralph Warren.
Funeral Services will be held at the Scott Mennonite Church in Pence, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014 with Richard Koehn presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott Mennonite Church Cemetery in Pence, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the Leoti EMT's or Scott Mennonite Church % Price & Sons Funeral Homes.
Visitation will be at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday.
