GARDEN CITY, KANSAS Louis R. Wagner, age 86, died Thursday, December 8, 2005 @ the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. He was born August 31, 1919 at Hibbing Minnesota, the son of Lewis R. & Agnus Grennier Wagner. He was a 1938 graduate of Dodge City High School and then attended Dodge City Community College. He served in the US Army during WWII and in 1945 moved to Garden City where he worked for the Ideal food stores. In 1950 he and his wife bought Streeter Cleaners and were the owners and operators for 34 years. Following his retirment, he worked at the WalMart Store in Garden City for 17 years. He was an Elder Emeritus, past Trustee and served on numerous committees and boards for the First Christian Church in Garden City. He was a member of the Finney County Senior Center and was an RSVP volunteer. He was a former member of the Broncbuster Athletic Association, Lions Club and the Jaycees. On June 16, 1946, he married Ruthella Streeter @ Garden City, Kansas. She survives. Other survivers include: 2 SonS, Doug Wagner OF Garden City, Kansas and Roger Wagner of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 1 Daughter, Lana Christensen of Garden City, Kansas; 1 Sister, Irene Trainer of Mulvane, Kansas; 6 Grandchildren & 6 Great-Grandchildren He was preceded in death by a son, Louis Wagner III, a grandson, Peter Wagner and 2 brothers, Chris & Floyd Wagner Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm. on Saturday, December 10, 2005 at the First Christian Church in Garden City, Kansas with the Rev. Dr. Bill Nowlan officiating. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery â Garden City, Kansas Friends may call from 5-8:00pm Friday and 10:00am-Noon Saturday@ the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, KS In Lieu of Flowers the family requests memorials be given to Family Crisis Services, in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home â Garden City, KS PRICE & SONS FUNERAL HOME 620 N.
