Lorene Giesick, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Wichita County Health Center in Leoti, Kansas. Born Florence Lorene Ray on January 2, 1929 in Cimarron, Kansas, the daughter of Willie C. & Lulanell E. (Dealy) Ray, she was a retired medical records clerk for Wichita County Health Center and a resident of Leoti, Kansas since 1947 moving from Tribune, Kansas. She was a 1947 graduate of Greeley County High School in Tribune, Kansas.
Lorene was a member of the United Methodist Church in Leoti, Kansas as well as a 65 year member of Rebakah Lodge. She was also a charter member of the Wichita County Municipal Golf Course.
On July 10, 1948 she married Earl F. Giesick in Leoti, Kansas. Earl passed away on August 20, 2013 in Leoti, Kansas.

Jana & Neal Rairden- Richmond, Virginia
Tim & Danette Giesick- Holcomb, Kansas
Son-in-law
Chuck Ridder- Marienthal, Kansas
Two sisters-
Retha Hubbs- Lakin, Kansas
Carolyn Ray- Scott City, Kansas
Nine grandchildren, Eleven great Grandchildren
Her parents, husband and a daughter, Karla Kay Ridder, precede her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the United Methodist Church in Leoti, Kansas with Pastor Travis King officiating.
Burial will be in Leoti Cemetery in Leoti, Kansas.
Friends may call from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday and from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm Friday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the United Methodist Church or Leoti EMT’S in care of the funeral home.
