Linda Lou Bridgman, 52, died April 15, 2016 in Wichita, KS. Linda was born April 13, 1964 in Garden City KS to Robert and Barbara (Roberts) Hensley. Linda had two older sisters, Dee Harding and Donna Hensley. Linda was a loving mom to Miranda and her husband Tyler Unruh and “MEMA” to Liam and Jase Unruh of Holcomb KS. She was thought of as a mother and grandma to Rachelle and Jasmine Roth of Park City KS.
Linda graduated from Garden City High School in 1982. She moved to Holcomb, KS in 1991 and resided there for many years. Linda was a district manager for Walmart stores in the Western Kansas, Eastern Colorado, and Northern Oklahoma regions for 19 years before being involved in a disabling car accident. After that, she spent her time enjoying being around family and friends as a homemaker. Linda was an active member in the first Baptist Church of Holcomb, KS. She enjoyed crocheting, floral work, and photography. She was an outstanding cook and loved providing for others. Linda had a special love for her daughter and grandkids, who meant everything to her. She also loved her dogs, Marley and Murphy, who provided her comfort.
After 30 years apart, Linda reconnected with her high school sweetheart, Alan Bridgman, and they married on October 11, 2013. They were happy spending quality time together and enjoyed every moment with one another. They truly were a match made in heaven.
Linda was a kind, caring person to everyone she met. Anyone who crossed her path would experience her love, warmth, and generosity. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Services will be held at the Nazarene Church in Garden City, KS Saturday April 23, 2016 at 10:00 am, and a second service will be held at Linda and Alan’s home in Wichita, KS. Sunday April 24, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Memorials can be sent to Price and Sons Funeral Home, Garden City, KS.
