Lilly Mabel Hofbauer, age 94, died Friday, March 7, 2008 at the Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City, Kansas. She was born May 28, 1913 in Scott City, Kansas the daughter of Frederick W. and Anna F.W. Boedeker Hauth. She had been a resident of Garden City since 1930 moving from Dodge City, Kansas. She worked as a PBX Operator for the Windsor Hotel and was an R.N.A.
She belonged to the Christian Faith, the VFW Ladies Auxilliary and the Rebekah Lodge.
On March 1, 1930 she married James F. Hofbauer in Dodge City, Kansas. He died Aug. 20, 1985 in Garden City, Kansas.
Survivors include: Two Sons, James A. Hofbauer of Huntington Beach, California and Donald L. Hofbauer of Ramona, Oklahoma; One Niece, Ronna Mae Struth of Derby, Kansas; Four Grandchildren and Three Great-Grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas with Rev. Robert Nuckolls presiding.
Friends may call from 10:00am-6:00pm on Wednesday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City and from 10:00am until noon Thursday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the Lilly M. Hofbauer Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
