Leta Weems

Leta May Weems, age 68, passed away on Friday, October 26, 2012 as the result of an automobile accident in Finney County, Kansas. She was born on June 9, 1944 in Scott County, Kansas, the daughter of Earl Alfred and Lorena M. See Turley. Leta was a lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas. She worked several different job thru the years including an Educational Para, Truck Driver, and currently in Pharmaceutical Delivery. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Scott City, Kansas. On December 26, 1996 she married Bryan W. Weems Jr. in Scott City, Kansas. He survives. Survivors include One Son - Shelby Salinas of Scott City, Kansas, Five Daughters - Tamera Terry of Littleton, Colorado, Verna Hansen of Littleton, Colorado, Starla Encinas of Monte Vista, Colorado, Valerie Braun of Monte Vista, Colorado, Pennifer Keller of Scott City, Kansas, Mother - Lorena Turley of Scott City, Kansas, Two Sisters - Neta Wheeler of Scott City, Kansas, LaCinda Griffin of Loveland, Colorado, Two Brothers - Gary Turley of Greeley, Colorado, Rex Turley of Modoc, Kansas, Nineteen Grandchildren and Five Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Father - Earl A. Turley. Memorial Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2012 with the Rev. Kyle Evans presiding. Memorials amy be given to the Leta Weems Memorial Fund % Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas. Inurnment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. There will be no calling times.
