Leonard L. Mullen, age 84, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Wichita County Health Center in Leoti, Kansas. Leonard was born December 25, 1928 at the family homestead in Cheyenne County, Colorado, the son of Phillip M & Lottie Kellogg Mullen. A resident of Leoti since 1956 moving from the Kit Carson County, Colorado area, he was a cowboy and owner/operator of Mullen Boot & Shoe Repair in Leoti, Kansas. Leonard was a veteran of the United States Army.
Leonard was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Leoti, Kansas on which he served on the Building & Grounds committee. He was also a member of the Leoti Rodeo Association, a Charter member of the Leoti VFW, and the American Legion in Topeka, Kansas.
On December 29, 1951 he married A. Sharon Linder at Raton, New Mexico.

His parents, four brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
The family will conduct memorial services at 1:30 pm Sunday, December 15, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church in Leoti, Kansas with the Reverend Charles Ayers officiating. Inurnment will be in Beulah Cemetery with military honors provided by the Leoti VFW.
