Leona R. Campbell, age 87, died Monday, April 2, 2012, at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born September 24, 1924 in Ford, Kansas the daughter of Joesph & Mary Dowling Stout. A resident of Garden City since 2008 moving from Dodge City, Kansas, she had been a cook at the Dodge City Jr. High and later worked on the farm with her husband.
On July 7, 1946 she married James A. Campbell in Ford, Kansas. He died March 18, 1988 in Dodge City, Kansas.
Survivors include:
Three Sons, Robert Campbell of Wichita, Kansas;
Stephen Campbell of Phoenix, Arizona and
Larry Campbell of Denver, Colorado;
One Daughter, Marsha Wiebe of Garden City, Kansas;
Two Brothers, Marion Stout of Ford, Kansas and
Dale Lee Stout of Ford, Kansas;
Three Sisters, Cleo Kingsley of Ford, Kansas,
Betty Darlene Sharon of Ford, Kansas and
Norma Stout of Ford, Kansas;
Ten Grandchildren and Twelve Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by One Brother, Donald Royce Stout, One Sister, Melva Fudge and a Grandson, Byron James Campbell
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on Monday, April 9, 2012 at the Church Of The Nazarene in Garden City, Kansas.
Interment will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, April 9, 2012 in the Maple Grove West Cemetery in Dodge City, Kansas.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00pm on Saturday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the Nazarene Church Children's Building Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
