Lela Urban

Lela May Urban, age 77, died on Friday, June 7, 2013 at Homestead Health & Rehabilitation Center in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on May 8, 1936 in Coolidge, Kansas the daughter of Carmon E. and Opal J. Libertus Cook. She had worked at the Yotter Insurance Agency in Leoti, Kansas for several years before retiring and moving to Garden City in 2001. In 1953, she married Ervin F. Urban in Hoisington, Kansas. He survives. Other Survivors Include: One Son, Dale E. Urban of Garden City, Kansas; Two Daughters, Cheryl Ann Moore of Larned, Kansas and Juanita Jo Wells of Mesa, Arizona Two Brothers, Daryle E. Cook of Palm Harbor, Florida and Delmar E. Cook of Lenexa, Kansas; One Sister, Patricia M. Hamilton of Goodyear, Arizona; Six Grandchildren and Four Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Darvan E. Cook. No visitation or services are planned at this time. Memorials may be given to the Lela May Urban Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home. Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City is in charge of arrangements.
