She was a wonderful homemaker, loving mother, dedicated wife, and diligent bookkeeper of the family business. She loved gardening, interior design, decorating, entertaining, tole painting and crafting, and mystery shows and movies. She was an active member of the Leoti Methodist Church for over 50 years, teaching Sunday School, being involved with the United Methodist Women, and the Care Committee. Janene met Marshall Young Woodbury in high school, and the two were married on February 17, 1952. They would go on to be married for 69 years. They were blessed with two daughters: Lora JaLue (Smith), and Lisa Sue (Cooley). After living in Wichita County for 65 years and retiring from farming, Janene and Marshall decided to move to Salina, Kansas to be near JaLue and her family. They also enjoyed spending winters in Arizona for over 30 years. After Marshall was called Home in 2021, Janene moved to Clarkston, Michigan to be near Lisa and her family.
Janene is survived by her two daughters: JaLue of Salina, Kansas, and Lisa of Clarkston, Michigan; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marshall, and her sister, Marianne Stuart.
