Laura Bauck

Leoti, Kansas Laura V. Bauck, age 85, died Sunday, June 20, 2010 at the Catholic Care Assisted Living Center in Bel Aire, KS. She was born March 3, 1925 in Victoria, Kansas, the daughter of Peter P. and Laura M. Huff Rome. Laura was a homemaker and farmer. She and her husband moved from Leoti, KS to Garden City, KS in 1992 and in 2007 she moved to Wichita, KS. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the VFW Auxiliary both of Leoti, KS. On May 10, 1948 she married Carl F. Bauck in Damar, Kansas. He died July 18, 2006 in Garden City, Kansas. Survivors Include: One Son, James C. Bauck of Eastsound, Washington; Two Daughters, Connie Barnum of Wichita, Kansas and Nancy Bauck of Los Angeles, California; One Sister, Toni Campbell of Glendive, Montana; Four Grandchildren and Two Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, eight brothers and four sisters. Vigil & Rosary Services will be held at 7:00pm on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Leoti, Kansas. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at the Church in Leoti, Kansas with the Father Benjamin Martin presiding. Friends may call from 1:00-5:00pm Wednesday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas. Burial will be in the St. Theresa Cemetery in Wichita County, Kansas. The family requests memorials be given to the St. Anthony Catholic Church or Catholic Care Assisted Living Center or in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Leoti, Kansas.
