Kenton Grigg

Scott City, Kansas Kenton Mace Grigg, age 63, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at Emporia Rehabilitation Center with Hand in Hand Hospice in Emporia, Kansas. He was born August 4, 1945 at Abilene, Kansas the son of Mason K. & Leola Hoffman Grigg. He attended New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, New Mexico and attended both Fort Hays State University and Kansas State University. He had been a resident of Emporia, Kansas since 2005 moving from Spring Hill. Kansas. He served for 35 years as Owner/ Independent Agent for KG Insurance Company in Tribune, Liberal, Ottawa and Olathe, Kansas. Kenton was a member of Kansas Insurance Commission- Topeka, Kansas Past President of the Rotary Club- Olathe, Kansas Olathe Chamber of Commerce- Olathe, Kansas Kenton's surviving family includes- A son- Todd Grigg- Lawrence, Kansas A daughter and her husband Jill & Dr. Michael Riley- Emporia, Kansas Three grandchildren Ashton Riley- Emporia, Kansas Baileigh Riley- Emporia, Kansas Lexi Grigg- Lawrence, Kansas A brother and his wife Steven & Mary Grigg- Ulysses, Kansas A sister- Gynile Grigg- Tribune, Kansas Three nephews- Darren Grigg- Lenexa, Kansas Jason Grigg- McCook, Nebraska Mason K. Grigg- Overland Park, Kansas He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a. m. Friday, August 15, 2008 at The First United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas with Pastor Dennis Carter officiating. Burial will be in Scott County Cemetery, Scott City, Kansas. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas. Memorials may be given to Hand in Hand Hospice in care of the funeral home.
