Kathleen Snyder

Kathleen L. Snyder, age 94, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on July 22, 1915 in Vermillion, Kansas, the daughter of Alvie and Nellie Wilson Ray. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1927 moving from Haigler, Nebraska where she went to school and was a homemaker and an active member of the community.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas where she was a past church board member and Sunday School teacher. Other memberships include the Christian Women's Fellowship, El Quartelejo Study Club, El Quartelejo Museum, American Legion and the American Cancer Society.

On June 2, 1934 she married Frank H. Snyder in Scott City, Kansas. He passed away on August 10, 2001 in Scott City, Kansas. They then purchased a farm east of town from his father where they raised their family until 1983 when they moved to town.

Survivors Include One Son - Ray Lee Snyder of Salt Lake City, Utah, One Daughter - Bylle K. Snyder of Los Angeles, California, Two Granddaughters - Jeri L. Snyder of Plano, Texas, Cheryl Grice of Topeka, Kansas and Three Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband Frank H. Snyder, and a daughter, Nikki.

Funeral Services will be held at the First Christian Church of Scott City, Kansas at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2010 with the Rev. Jeff Knighton presiding.

Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery. Memorials in Lieu of Flowers may be given to the First Christian Church % Price & Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
